The Journal of Humanities and Leadership Studies published by the Faculty of Arts, Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, stands as a beacon for scholars, educators, and researchers in the field of humanities and leadership. The journal advance knowledge and understanding through high-quality research and reflective of rigorous academic standards.
Scope and Focus
The journal aims to promote interdisciplinary studies and innovative research within the realms of humanities and leadership. It encourages paper submissions in a broad spectrum of topics that include cultural studies, ethics in leadership, social justice, communication, educational reforms, Linguistics and African Studies, History, Strategic and International Studies, Philosophy, Critical Thinking and Politics, Economics and Entrepreneurship, Religion, Practical Theology and Human Relations, Literature, Music and Theatre Arts.
Submission Guidelines
To maintain high scholarly standards, the journal enforces specific submission guidelines. Authors are encouraged to clearly outline their research questions, methodologies, and findings, ensuring that their work is original and contributes to existing literature. All submissions undergo a stringent double-blind peer-review process, which guards against biases and enhances the integrity of published work. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts adhere to the journal’s formatting requirements, which can be accessed through the journal's official website.
Authors are advised to present manuscript in line with any of the following styles of referencing, namely: 7th Edition of American Psychological Associations (APA) or Modern Languages Association (MLA). Submitted article should not exceed 5000 words with an abstract of less than 200 words. Authors should include their names at the first page of the paper with institution affiliation. Peer Review Process
The peer-review process is pivotal to the journal's commitment to academic rigor. Each submitted manuscript is evaluated by experts in the respective fields, who assess the quality, relevance, and originality of the research. Reviewers are tasked with providing constructive feedback, which authors can utilize to enhance their work.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
To facilitate the publication process, the Journal of Humanities and Leadership Studies implements an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts. The APC is designed to cover operational costs, including editorial management, article processing, and online article publication. Article publication fee for a single author is ₦20,000 while more than single author is ₦30,000. The Journal accepts payments via various methods, including credit cards and bank transfers. Once an article has been accepted and payment has been processed, the APC is non-refundable. The above payment is different from peer review fee of ₦5,000 .
